Cold Formed Z, C Purlin

Cold Rolled Formed Purlins are long steel sections with various geometric cross sectional shapes, which are extensively used for structural needs in construction of industrial buildings. These are developed from flat steel strips available as raw material and are fed into sophisticated roll forming machines at room temperature. The main benefit of these Purlins is that they are derived on the basis of complex geometrical cross sectional shapes having high modular of section property with thinner thickness. This enables them to cater high loads bearing capacity.

Some of these cross-sections are in the shape of Z, C, Lip.C, Sigma etc. These sections are called as Z, C, Lipped Channel and Sigma Purlins. These are used in conformity with IS 801 – 1975 code of practice for use of Cold Formed Light Gauge steel in general building constructions. The construction metal section is commonly preferred as purlins in the construction of industrial buildings whereby there is an overall cost reduction in purlin usage compared to conventional usage of common ISMC, Angle and ISMB sections. Wih this product the approx.saving will be 40% minimum and it has a faster erection due to CKD condition.

Ranges
  • Z Purlins:165mm to 250mm in 1.50mm thick.to 3.00mm with 245Mpa and 345Mpa yield strength.
  • C Purlins:40mm to 300mm and Lip.C:90mm to 300mm with 2mm to 6mm and 2mm to 4mm thickness respectively.
  • SIGMA Purlin:140mm to 255mm with 2mm to 3.15mm thickness.
